Creative and Essay Writing Mentoring Program

Writing is an art, well it is suppose to be. Anyone can learn the craft, but to be an artist more is needed.

All writers must have a thick skin to accept critique as a learning experience. To be an artist, however, means that one must be willing to metaphorically walk down the road naked. That means that to be a writer, and artist, especially a creative writer, one must be willing to bare one’s soul in honesty about one’s self in his writing. This does not mean that the writing must be autobiographical. Rather, that it means that the writing must bear the mark of the soul, to put all into the writing. This will be more understandable as the mentoring relationship progresses.
